InDesign CS4 Server is Now Available
Adobe has just released the latest version of InDesign server, now with support for IDML.
Adobe has just released InDesign Server CS4. It now contains support for the InDesign Markup Language (IDML). It also includes support for support for SOAP, Java?, AppleScript, JavaScript, Microsoft Visual Basic, C#, and C++ plug-ins. Developers can even integrate other new Adobe technologies, including Adobe Flex® 3 and Adobe AIR?, which enable them to create compelling online and offline rich Internet applications.
At the InDesign Master class conference in Seattle, I sat in on the InDesign server session and was impressed with what it can do. InDesign server is used throughout the world in a variety of ways. Variable data publishing, editorial management and web to print are just a sample of uses of InDesign Server.
