The script merges all tables in a selection. To target a whole story, select a text frame. To target some tables, make a text selection that contains those tables you want to merge. The selected tables need not be contiguous, but they must have the same number of columns. I don’t know how the script fares with merged cells.
The script takes into account header and footer rows, but only if they are real header and footer rows. All text attributes are preserved, but cell attributes are not.
Use
Select a text frame to target a whole story or two or more tables on a page or spread and start the script. It has no interface.
