Photoshop Dimensions Guide to 3D
If you’re a Photoshop user, hopefully you’ve had a chance to read our coverage of Photoshop CS6, including Ben Long’s review and Pierre-Etienne Courtejoie’s First Look. But did you also know that Photoshop also comes in a extended version, with even more new features?
One of the more exciting things about Photoshop CS6 Extended is the new approach to 3D effects. The process of creating 3D effects has been completely overhauled and streamlined so it’s easier and faster than ever.
To help users get the most out of these enhancements, Adobe has worked with Doppler Publishing to produce a magazine called Photoshop Dimensions.

The first issue is free and contains 58 pages of tutorials. It introduces the changes in Photoshop’s 3D user interface, shows you how to apply 3D effects to shapes and text, how to work with lighting and textures, how to use the render settings, and more.
You can download Photoshop Dimensions as an EPUB for iBooks and Nook, or as a MOBI file for Kindle. It’s also available in PDF format.
Issue 2 is available in EPUB and MOBI format at a cost of $4.99 USD.
