Image Editor Snapseed Comes to iPhone and iPod touch
When Ben Long wrote about Nik Software’s new Snapseed photo editor last month, he had nothing but praise for the app, calling it the “best image-editing app for the iPad”. Now you can enjoy Snapseed’s refined features on the iPhone and iPod touch as well as the iPad. The price is $4.99 for all of these devices.
However, there are device-imposed file-size ceilings. Nik recommends the iPhone 4 because it supports 16MP resolution (as does the iPad 2, but not the iPad 1). Also, version 4 of the iPhone 4 is the only one that can work with RAW files; the iPhone 3GS, and iPod Touch 3 and 4 cannot. Note that even with the iPhone 4 and iPad 2, you must transfer RAW files onto your iOS device via a camera connector kit.
You can buy Snapseed 1.2, the latest version, from the iTunes App Store.
