Endnotes/Footnotes not dynamic

      I’m having note trouble! I’m using the latest InDesign (updated today) but neither footnotes nor endnotes are dynamically linked, whatever format I choose to create a PDF. I’m sure this used to work fine, and I can’t figure out why it’s not working now. Any ideas please?
