New Online Font Identification Resource

If you’re struggling to identify a typeface — or you want an alternative to a font — you might want to try the What Font Is website.
To begin the ID process, either upload an example file, or specify a URL with the font you want to identify.
You can then choose to display only free fonts or only commercial fonts.
For best results, the What Font Is creators suggest the following:
– Make the example text horizontal.
– Have white space between letters.
– Make the example text resolution higher than 80 pixels per inch.
– Make the background color lighter than the character color.
– Include at least two characters and no more than 10.
– Make the image grayscale.
Go to the What Font Is website.
