InDesign User Conference Returns to Melbourne
The internationally respected InDesign User Conference will be held in Australia on 30th-31st August 2007 at the RMIT Brunswick Campus in Melbourne.
Prominent international and Australian speakers will provide InDesign professionals with the latest information, including practical tips and techniques for design applications.
Included in the conference ticket price will be attendance at Desktop Magazine’s ‘Create:Awards’ gala night where industry expertise, talent and excellence will be recognised and rewarded.
The RMIT Brunswick campus, with its prestigious design school and award winning architecture, provides a fitting venue for the conference. It is close to the city of Melbourne and offers the gourmet delights and entertainments of Lygon Street nearby.
International speakers include Sandee Cohen from New York. Cohen is a dynamic and experienced university computer graphics teacher, who comes from a long career in advertising and has been a speaker at numerous design events. She is also co-author of a variety of desktop publishing and design books.
Australia’s premier Photoshop and InDesign trainer Mike McHugh will also be speaking. McHugh comes from a pre-press, finished art and graphic design background and has years of practical knowledge to impart. He is a certified Adobe expert and has the latest information and techniques at his fingertips.
Also speaking at the conference will be Cari Jansen from the Western Australia design and printing community. Jansen is an Adobe Certified Instructor and Qualified Trainer who has a strong print publishing background having trained and worked with conventional prepress technologies as well as prepress and print management.
Noha Edell from Adobe Systems will be making use of her 20 years experience in the pre-press and graphics market in her speech. Edell has specialised in training and consulting and is an expert in Adobe’s next generation publishing tools. She is an Adobe Certified Expert in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, PageMaker and Acrobat.
Michael Stoddart from Adobe Systems is another speaker at the conference. Stoddart has recently been heavily involved in helping Adobe’s publishing, advertising and design clients transition to Adobe InDesign. His previous experience as a Quark consultant gives him an invaluable insight into customer’s transition needs.
