Lanier Launches Network-ready Color Laser Printer for Small Offices and Workgroups
Lanier Worldwide, Inc. today announced the Lanier LP222cn, a network-ready laser printer that delivers up to 22 pages per minute in full-color or monochrome, with resolution up to 1200 dpi. The printer is specifically designed for high productivity in low-volume applications. The LP222cn will be available immediately.
“The LP222cn is one of the most affordable laser printers in its class, and it delivers superior image quality for both color and black-and-white output,” said Dominic Pontrelli, vice president of Marketing for Lanier. “It is an excellent printer for sharing in workgroups or small departments. Small office and home office users will appreciate its outstanding total value.
“This highly cost-effective laser printer makes it easier than ever to take advantage of business-quality color and use it to enhance the readability and impact of reports, proposals, plans, and many other kinds of documents. The LP222cn also features industry-standard connectivity and remote management tools, which make it a safe addition to any network environment.”
Because the LP222cn prints up to 22 pages per minute for both color and monochrome, it can handle full-color, black-and-white, and mixed jobs with equal productivity. Built-in duplexing runs at 95% of its rated speed, which helps reduce paper usage. The printer also features a 533 MHz controller for fast processing speed and robust RIP capabilities, including the ability to handle large image files quickly and efficiently.
Industry-standard connectivity on the LP222cn allows the printer to be integrated in virtually any network architecture with ease. Specifically, it features a standard Ethernet interface and optional wireless connectivity for easy placement. For direct connectivity, a USB 2.0 interface is standard and a parallel interface is optional. Out of the box, the printer comes with the Adobe PostScript 3, PCL5c, PCL6, and RPCS printer languages.
Remote management utilities, including SmartDeviceMonitor for Admin and Client, Web SmartDeviceMonitor, and Web Image Monitor, enable administrators to check printer status, adjust settings, monitor consumables, and complete other tasks from a central location.
“From an IT perspective, laser printers should be easy to put on the network, easy to manage once they are integrated, and affordable to maintain over the long-term,” Pontrelli said. “The LP222cn meets all these criteria — and delivers consistently high-quality color output as well. It is an ideal laser printer for customers who want high quality and affordability in a low-volume color printer.”
