Both MFPs allow workgroups to print, copy, scan and network fax with a single, capable, highperformance solution.

About the ES3640e MFP
The ES3640e MFP from OKI Printing Solutions, powered by EFI® Fiery® technology, with its launch today immediately became one of the fastest, highresolution color MFPs on the market. The ES3640e offers medium- to largesized workgroups a print and copy speed of up to 36 pages per minute (ppm) in color and 40 ppm in monochrome1 and a print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi), as well as industry-leading scanning speed and copy resolution. It is designed for workgroups printing as many as 150,000 pages per month. For scanning and copying input, the ES3640e MFP includes an innovative duplex single-pass document feeder that scans both sides of a color page simultaneously.
The ES3640e MFP also is available in a Graphic Arts edition that can provide professional color results to environments that demand commercial print quality. The Graphic Arts edition of the ES3640e MFP includes additional color management software from EFI for precise color management and consistent pre-press accuracy that produces high-quality pre-press output. EFI Colorwise™ Pro allows the administrator to access and effect color management by the Fiery, while the EFI Command WorkStation™ 4 automatically identifies and displays information about Fiery servers on the network and enables operators and administrators to track and manage jobs. The ES3640e MFP also utilizes EFI SpotOn™ and EFI HotFolder™ technologies to provide a full suite of color printing management tools to the end-user.
The estimated street price for the ES3640e MFP is $13,499. The unit will be available in early summer 2005.
About the ES1624n MFP
The ES1624n MFP from OKI Printing Solutions is one of the fastest multifunctional systems in its class, enabling network-ready printing as well as copying up to 16 ppm in color and 24 ppm in monochrome1. It is the ideal digital performer that can be set up where space is limited, so small- and medium-sized workgroups, as well as individuals, can have desktop convenience or easy access to walk-up copying and quick network printing and scanning.
The ES1624n MFP presents itself as the clear choice for end-users looking to replace existing printers, scanners and faxes, with one capable communications center. It is designed for workgroups printing as many as 50,000 pages per month. The ES1624n MFP delivers cost-effective operation as well as an exceptional return on investment with outstanding reliability, longlasting consumables and competitive cost per copy (CPP) that closes the gap between color and mono printing. It allows end-users to control operating costs by supporting one device rather than several, stocking fewer replacement supplies, and reducing service interruptions.
The estimated street price for the ES1624 MFP is $2,799. The unit will be available in early summer 2005.
Superior Capabilities, Outstanding Performance
Both the ES3640e MFP and the ES1624n MFP are factory-configured with a 10/100 Base-T internal Ethernet print server and powerful network tools, allowing users to scan and print from their desktops. And both units feature advanced scan-to email/network functionality, with Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) compatibility standard. Network fax capability is standard on the ES3640e MFP and optional on the ES1624n MFP.
Both units have been designed with security and accountability in mind. Administrators can assign individual identification codes to users, tracking MFP use for individuals or work groups, plus restrict access to address books, email and FTP functionality. The units also come with a job accounting utility to let administrators track print and copy usage for effective control.
The new OKI Printing Solutions MFPs provide a wide variety of paper and document handling capabilities that let them add value to any office environment. They print transparencies, envelopes and banners up to 12.9" x 47.24."
