I’m placing a series of previously published magazine articles into a booklet.
The magazine has provided the articles with a bleed so we can reproduce them properly. But when I place them into ID, they come bleedless. I’ve tried every option in the place dialogue box – bounding box, bleed, trim, etc. – but I get either the trimmed page size or the file with file into on the bottom. Any idea why this could be happening and what I can do about it?

      Thanks!

I think I figured it out.

Don’t delete (I don’t think you can) but tell us what you figured out so that it helps someone else with the same problem.

I figured out that when you are WFH and your kids are on vacation and you have a bad head cold, you download the wrong files but reference the correct ones.
So in short, I was bringing in files with no bleed the client had originally sent.
