Hello everyone!
I have issue witch I can’t resolve myself. In work I need to export InDesign files to separate pdf’s (it’s not such a problem – now I’m just separating them in Acrobat but I also found few scripts for it). The problem is, that after having them as separate pdf files, I need to rename them all differently. Every one of the files needs to have document name at beginning, then its own name and after that dimensions in mm. Every one of the files have bleed 10mm. So the name should have dimensions in it without a bleed and after that it should be written “+10mm_Bleed”. For example I have document called “Example” and in it I have a page 20mm x 30mm which I want to be named “Rose” and second page 40mm x 50mm I want to be named “Sky” and both have 10mm of bleed. I would like to have a such names after exporting:
Example_Rose_20mm_x_30mm+10mm_Bleed
Example_Sky_40mm_x_50mm+10mm_Bleed
I thought about a script, which could have take text frame from particular page and take from it name of the page (“Rose” or “Sky” from my examples). Such a solution would give me possibility to name pages as I want in Indesign.
Also, script could take width and height of a file and put them into the exported page’s name. And after that it should take the bleed information from document and put it at the end of the exported files.
I understand that it can be very hard to create or maybe even impossible. I really have no idea about programming and writing scripts so I’m here for some help. Could you tell me if it is even possible? Maybe someone from here can make such a script? If so, please tell me how much would you want for it?
Best
