In brief, overall, salaries are down, but the decrease is small, and there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the year ahead. For example, a recent hiring index found that 6% of marketing and advertising managers planned to expand staff in the third quarter of this year compared to just 1% in the second quarter.
