Webinar: Variables in Adobe Creative Suite 5
Press Release
Variable data projects have become increasingly important to marketers in recent years. Designers often create projects, and then hand them off to a mail house who will do the variable “sweetening” with expensive proprietary software. Adobe’s Creative Suite has powerful variable data capabilities built-in, however: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign all feature variable data engines. Photoshop and Illustrator can create versions of graphics based on a dataset, and InDesign can merge data and images based on data to create final print projects. Each program has different requirements and workflows, but taken together, they make a powerful tool in your toolbox. Attendees should have a familiarity with Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign, and should be comfortable with Microsoft Excel or a database program such as Filemaker Pro. In this training program, you will learn how to:
* Plan datasets and export for Adobe Creative Suite 5
* Use variables and data in Illustrator
* Use variables and data in Photoshop
* Use variables and data in InDesign
* Publish your variable data marketing piece to PDF for your printer
