MemberHi!
Fyi: Application is RTM since middle of the month: Affinity publisher 1.7.1
I bought it yesterday to test it. I hate definitively Adobe subscription model so I still work with CS6. if Publisher application is on a good track, maybe next version, 2 or 3 will be the replacement for my Indesign CS6… Something like anticipation or prevention.
Anyway, it is a good thing to avoid situations where only one product is present to address a specific market.

MemberHi, useful script but I confirm it doesn’t keep links between text-frames.
any chance to have an update ?
thanks in advanceNicolas Flamel
MemberOk
so here are the screenshots for my previous message…https://i.imgur.com/LvVRHcA.jpg (layout)
https://i.imgur.com/xHoF8NT.jpg (unchecked layers & mechanical. all pages are empty except the first page)
https://i.imgur.com/BL98Zgd.jpg (“first” master page)in the master page for first page, you can see 3 text boxes. The last is marked as primary text frame…
As I told you in my previous message, I do not understand the green color for the first page.Regards

Memberoui on est bien d’accord mais comme on ne voit pas toujours tout je me demandais s’il n’y avait pas quelque chose de prévu…ou une astuce?
d’un point de vue sémantique ce ne sont pas ni de vrais repères ni de vrais objets colonnes … enfin c’est un point de vue.yes we do agree but as we don’t always see everything I was wondering if there something planned … or a trick?
IMHO from a semantic point of view, these are not real guides or real column objects … well, it is a point of view.:-)

MemberYes … excellent idea :-) but original question was to find a way to “link” specific column guides to a particular layer. As Indesign column guides are not really guides it seems we can’t do this thing.

MemberMerci pour votre aide / thank you for your help…
I will define my own column guides and will put them on a specific layer. That’s way I will have a clear picture for present and futures books

Memberhumm …ok what you say is I can Hide or diplay guides using this way. But it wil display or hide ALL the guides not only a particular one. That’s the reason I’ve tried to combine this command with layers to obtain more granularity…. it woks fine except for column guides

Memberthank you for your answer.
unfortunately this does not seem to be the case in my environment.
if I uncheck all the layers, column guides are stil here …
Reason why I suspect column guides not be “true” guides … -
