Participant… You just need a script! …

ParticipantBy curiosity, could you tell us where you have found informations about such features?

ParticipantGraham, I hope you know that “(?<= …)” and “\K” (since CS6) are the same thing, except that \K is more powerful because it allows variable items in the look behind! ;-)

ParticipantIt was the joke of the week! Well try! LOL
[footnote story delimitation, as visible as the “blue” metachars or the “red” margin rules!]

ParticipantIn fact, no video! [the script is too “fast and furious”!] =D
Explanations (per screenshot):
1 | Before launching the script, we can see in text 4 products mentioned by their 6-numbers codification.
2-3 | The op launches the script:
a) [optional] The script applies a char style named “Hyperlink” => now, each 6-numbers codification visually appears as an hyperlink [“dark-blue” text and underlining color].
b) The script applies a condition named “Hyperlink” => if we had new 6-numbers codifications, the script will only treat these new codes!
c) The script associates to each 6-numbers codification an hyperlink [defined as you previously indicate] whose the name and the 6 last chars of the url are the 6-numbers codification!4 | If the op launches the script again without having added other codifications, nothing will happen!
5-6 | If the op adds new 6-numbers codifications, he will need to launch the script again! The process will only play [like here] with the new codes, not the ones already treated!

ParticipantA little question:
Does a numbers chain appear several times in the doc? or only once?

ParticipantCarl,
I agree with Kai! Such a script doesn’t seem to exist in the public domain!
But you’re lucky [or not!]! I’ve found in my Scripts Library something i’ve written 2 years ago! …
I’ve just modified it to play exactly your game [I’ll give more details!]! I’m going to post a video on YouTube [link here soon]!
As Kai, personally not for free! … but such a script already exist! ;-)

ParticipantHi,
1/ Totally Yes of course, if just a para between pages.
2/ No problem for the script: It’s only based on footnotes!
3/ Yeap: it’s an automatic bullet para style! so just modify the para style!
4/ See above.
5/ ID CC 2015. but it could work with an ID older version because of its basic code syntax [to be simply tested].
…/ Not unfortunately, I don’t work for free! ;-)Seriously, if you only have 30 footnotes to be treated, do it manually! …

ParticipantPretty cool!
When the layout is done, just 1 click! ;-)
Of course, the layout could move! … No problem, launch the script again!
It’s a “light” version: I’ve considered paras that runs between 2 pages!
I’ve written a script-brother to reset the footnotes! [All the 2-glyphs per footnote are removed from the pages]
As usual, not for free! … but a real time-saver!

ParticipantIf you want to play it on:
all the doc;
a story;
a text frame;
a selection text including table(s);
a sinle table;
a part of a table;
a single cell;[includes “Undo”], this script is for you! [not for free!] …
[Its little sister: “Increase the cell width to remove its content overset” exists and works in the same way!!]
Enjoy! ;-)

ParticipantIt’s just a matter of leading applied on the carriage return! Its size is not a relavant problem source!

In the ID file, you will note each “Image-Number” group is anchored!
There’re 3 object styles: one for the first image of the line, one for eventual following ones and the third for the numbering.The trick is the way the “Image” graphic frame [inline – with/without wrapping] and the “Numbering” text frame [personalized, by reference to the anchoring point] are anchored!! ;-)
That’s all!
