ParticipantHi Seung,
Welcome to the forum.
Could you please advise in brief about your first post. Whether you want help on How to create Tables in InDesign? or is there some specific issue that you would like to come up with.
We will be more than happy to help you in any case.

ParticipantWell to my knowledge up to CS6, you cannot anchor a threaded/linked text frame. Only one text-frame can be anchored. This is the reason you cannot click on the In and Out ports of the text frame.
Masood Ahmad
ParticipantTry Story editor instead. You’ll see all the styles and other related information on the left side of the text in the Story editor.

ParticipantDavid, that’s a good trick but I suggest, creating a Normal PDF first and than print using the Print-booklet from Acrobat itself. That’s good and easy.

ParticipantMichael, if I have understood it right, you want to know the total number of pages in a book. Well to my knowledge, this feature is still unavailable in InDesign.
According to David’s findings:
“I’d like the Book palette to display total number of pages in the book. (Intro chapters are in roman numerals, then chapter 1 starts on page 1, so trying to figure out the total number of pages requires keeping a calculator open.)”

ParticipantHi,
There could be several tricks to achieve this. Try this…
1. First, create a frame of required dimensions
2. Sheer it at a desired angle for example20°
3. Create a tiny/small frame on top of the first sheer-frame
4. select both the frames and performPathfinder:Add
This will reset any transformations on the frame
5. Step and repeat to make copies of the new frame.
6. Insert images as and when needed. This way the images will not be rotated. Here is some reference:

ParticipantThat’s brilliant. I have noted it down.

You don’t have to choose the “Show Import Options” to see the options dialog box while importing a file. This way you will always have face the options dialog box, if clicked once. You have to uncheck the “Show Import Options” check-box again to get rid of it.
On the other hand, select the file and just press shift key while clicking on the “Open” button. That’s nice and tricky.

ParticipantDavid, How did you manage to put your code in a light gray box with a slightly darker border. It is interesting and helpful to put codes separately.

ParticipantThanks David for your suggestions. We are trying to work it out…

ParticipantI think you can achieve this by GREP Find/Change:
Find what: [24680]$
Change to: paragraph style of your choice with indent values
Please check and let me know if it helps.
Masood Ahmad
ParticipantHow about doing this by GREP Find/Change:
Find what: lb(?!\.)
Change to: lb.This way it will not search for the “lb”s with a period.

ParticipantHi Anne,
I think I answered this on your post:
I quote it again:
Hi Anne, Try this using GREP Find/Change
Find what:
“.+\r.+?”
(i.e. double quotes-dot-plus sign-backslash r-dot-plus sign-question mark-double quotes)any queries, please revert back…
