ParticipantSizePageToThing is a free script – you would just select the frame on the page and run the script. Only does one page at a time though.

ParticipantI haven’t been able to access the pre-release forums for years. Logging in just sends me right back to the welcome page on Mac and Windows in virtually every browser on the market. It’s just a constant loop of logging in and going back to the welcome page to log in again.
I’m not setting up yet another account just to provide feedback and file bug reports… if they can’t get their act together and stop using these stupid UserVoice (and whatever else service they use) forums, I’ll just use my time in other ways other than trying to help them with their beta software.

ParticipantI had Text to Image on day one of my 19.4 install, and I live in Arizona.

ParticipantI think you need to look at your export settings closer. There is no way that all settings are exactly the same except for crops & bleeds. I would start by comparing the PDF version you’re exporting to, along with the resolution of images.

ParticipantVersion 17.2.1 appears to have fixed multiple bugs, including the PDF place gun bug and this font bug. Hard for me to say because I haven’t experienced the font bug myself.

ParticipantThis sounds like it’s a transparency flattener issue. First, make sure you’re saving as a version 7 or higher PDF. Also, make sure the PSD/PNG image is set as the same color space as the color background. When you mix RGB and CMYK, the rendering engine has to rasterize the text that overlaps with the image and background – which is difficult enough, but even more difficult when the color spaces don’t match.

ParticipantHere it is December 2020 and this problem still exists in the latest version of ID. Random (and sometimes ALL) keyboard shortcuts simply stop working. Hitting the T key to switch to the Type Tool either doesn’t work at all, or switches for a half second before automatically switching to the Select Tool. Spacebar shortcuts stop working, etc.

ParticipantThank you, RoManuV, for providing the instructions for using “Shared Destination” in the hyperlinks panel. I’ve never been able to figure out how to use this feature, nor could I find any clear instructions on using it anywhere. It’s not as “straightforward” as you may believe.
What I think would be a much better scenario is if once a URL destination is created and listed in the Hyperlinks Panel, the user should be able to select a word or words in the document and drag the Hyperlink destination from the panel and drop it on the selected word/words. THAT would be really handy!
[yes, I know this is a very old thread, but I finally had cause to search for the topic and this is what came up in Google]James Dempsey
ParticipantThe short answer is: You can’t.
InDesign doesn’t allow multiple sized columns in a single text container. Your best solution is to create 4 separate text containers exactly the size you need them with the space between them you want, then link the containers so the text flows between them the way you wish.
[update]After posting my response, it occurred to me that you probably weren’t talking about text containers/boxes, but guides. Unfortunately, the answer is the same. You can’t create multiple sized page columns. The solution is to create your own guide grid (on a master page would make sense).
