MemberWhat reader are you using, ADE? If so, try the latest version ADE 4.5.2. Also did you export using EPUB 2.01? If so try EPUB 3.0. Let us know if that helps.

MemberHi Aaron, I did one book in Spanish (with the English version of ID CC) and I can confirm the same issue. I usually do a navigation TOC for the ebook devices and a cross-referenced TOC inside the book. The latter is the only one where I can use “Contenido”.

MemberThanks for taking the time to reply. I should have mentioned I created the corner effects using an app at a paragraph level. So I have a paragraph style that when applied frames the content and creates customized corners. This effect is lost when exported to reflowable epub. I opened the OBPS file to see if I could modified something there but could not figure it out.

MemberI think I got it. I just had to uncheck everything but EPUB and HTML from Export Options.

MemberHow about using empty frames instead of the images?
After reading again your message I realize they want the images? I’m afraid I don’t get it.Gustavo Martinez
MemberAnother option would be to package the Indesign file (File/Package). In the latest Indesign version, the package includes a PDF so they can see the actual book layout. The images will be in a separate folder.

MemberThis happens to me often. It doesn’t follow a pattern though. Sometimes I’m able to override an existing file with the same name. But most often it just warns me that it “failed to save pdf”. So I have to delete the existing file, which is not easy as well. I have to force delete using Crl+Shift+Delete (Windows) because the simple Delete command won’t do it. I got used to this workaround until I can figure it out.

MemberOpen it in ADE 4.5.1 no problem. Issues with proper text display is another story. I’m on Windows 10. I use Chrome’s Readium for FXLs.

MemberThanks for the feedback. I tend to agree with not messing up with two floated images in one paragraph because it causes havoc with small screens. I saw it when testing the epub in small devices. I ended up using fixed layout because there were too many images to deal with. It looks great on desktop screens (using Readium for Windows and Ibooks for Macs). Still trying to figure out the best for Androids. So far, Gitden Reader produces the best results.

MemberSaw it a while ago. I think it’s one of Adobe’s engineers sense of humor.

MemberAs a follow up, my workaround was to split the long paragraph and anchor one image to each paragraph.

MemberKindle has its own Fixed Layout generator from a PDF: https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=1002998671. You may want to check it out.

MemberFound it at the Adobe Forums: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1874164?start=0&tstart=0 On this thread the path for Macs is given. For Windows users the new path is: Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Indesign CC 2015/Resources/Dictionaries/LILO/Linguistics/Providers/Plugins2/AdobeHunspellPlugin.

MemberI just don’t see how it is possible to achieve what you want with reflowable epub. You can get it done with fixed layout. As Anne-Marie said, in reflowable epub master page items do not export. The screenshots you show are probably from a fixed layout epub.

MemberDon’t know why the font is showing twice. I sometimes got rid of the (CID) issue unchecking ligatures. Select the type in your document and uncheck ligatures and let us know if that helps.
