MemberAgree with what Eugene said. I noticed this problem years ago, and I either use the no-break feature, or if that is not enough, I manually increase the left and right indents to force words down.

MemberI don’t have the answer, but I’m curious as to what you mean by “cracked.”
Dwayne Harris
MemberDo you mean you were applying no break or that you made sure it wasn’t applied? You want to be sure it’s not applied (i.e., checkmarked).

MemberIs hyphenation allowed for the text? I know for most tables I do, the client doesn’t want hyphenation, but sometimes a word is too big to fit and has to be hyphenated. If hyphenation is turned off, the text disappears as ID considers it overflow. If I allow hyphenation then it’s okay.
My first thought was the same as Colleen’s (i.e., making sure that “no break” wasn’t applied anywhere).

MemberSelect the logo (round circle) and the text that is over it, and group it. You will find that under the toolbar at the top of the page under “Items”

MemberThanks for the update. Can you tell us the name of the plug-in? It might help to know in case someone else has the same problem.

MemberYeah–the pics inserted into Word files are usually crap. And it’s not the original art. It’s placed art.
You definitely want the originals.

Member^^To me, it would take too long. It all depends upon your text measure, how much space you want between the two sentences, etc.
By the time you figure all that out, a couple of em spaces could have been put in and you would have continued on your merry way.

Member^^I totally agree, Anne-Marie. I can only imagine the extra time that will be required. In this day and age, we need to get things done faster, or say good-bye to any profits.
This thing sounds like a total nightmare.

MemberI found this script over at the Adobe forums:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1559758
I’ve never used it and don’t know much about scripts, but it seems that a script is pretty much the only solution.
I’m not sure if it will do everything you want, though.
Good luck.

MemberWow–that sounds like a terrible way to work. Sounds to me like it’s going to make your job harder, instead of easier.
Dwayne Harris
MemberThere’s no easy way to do what you want, except for playing with the tab settings.
I think it’s just as easy (and nothing wrong) with inserting fixed white space (i.e., multiple em or en spaces).May 3, 2015 at 1:07 pm in reply to: How to Get "Show Import Options" without using File, Place #75117Dwayne Harris
MemberI don’t know if there is a way, especially since you are using censhare and dragging and dropping. What did the consultant say about it? I’m curious.
Dwayne Harris
MemberThat is weird. Looks like InDesign is aligning on baseline of type in the one shot, then the descenders in the other.
Dwayne Harris
Member^^That sounds as if it work.
