David BlatnerKeymasterWhere are the page numbers? Is each line a different paragraph?
If so, maybe you could use a grep find/change to turn the 3 paragraphs into a single paragraph with shift-returns (line breaks). Then you could sort the paragraphs with the SortParagraphs.jsx script in the Scripts panel.
For example, you could search (in the grep tab of the find/change dialog box) for
(.+)\r(.+)\r(.+)\r
and replace it with$2?$3?$1\rThat should find everything on the first paragraph, then 2nd paragraph, and the 3rd paragraph… and then replace it with the 2nd paragraph followed by a shift-return, then the 3rd paragraph, then the 1st paragraph.

David BlatnerKeymasterNigel French actually showed how to do this in InDesign, in several ways, in the 3 minutes max session at The InDesign Conference. It’ll probably end up on youtube.com/creativepro or youtube.com/indesignsecrets before too long. I’ll have to go back and watch the video to remember his tricks.
David BlatnerKeymasterAs Aaron said, an extra style is usually what you need. Though there are options. Here are couple of articles:

David BlatnerKeymasterMost of the time InDesign displays a rough preview of what the page will look like. But when you add transparency, it needs to show a higher-quality preview. That preview changes everything on the spread. So yes, you’re only affecting the transparency area, but InDesign is showing you are more accurate view of the whole spread. You can avoid this odd discrepancy if you just work with Overprint Preview turned on all the time.

David BlatnerKeymasterit’s a feature-not-a-bug… :-)
The point is that by applying transparency, InDesign actually displays the page more accurately.
With no transparency on the spread, try turning on View > Overprint Preview. You will likely also see the image change. Overprint preview = “a bit more accurate.”June 15, 2020 at 7:24 am in reply to: Filled text frame with blend mode other than Normal affects entire page below #1255212
David BlatnerKeymasterClassic InDesign issue. Here you go:

David BlatnerKeymasterWell, I think the solution (which I already wrote to Mordechai, offline) is to use the ME version of InDesign. That has tools for changing the language direction. For example, you could make a right-to-left character style and apply it to the text.
In-tools has a plug-in for controlling this in the regular (non-ME) versions of InDesign (www.in-tools.com) but it has not been updated in a couple years.
More on installing ME:

David BlatnerKeymasterAh, I see. Yes, that makes sense.
Or you can make each family a different InDesign document, and put them together into a Book panel (which can add pages, as I noted).
But it sounds like the best thing for you will be to complete the book and then add the pages manually.
David BlatnerKeymasterIf you use the Keep Options, as you mentioned earlier, then InDesign will automatically make the previous page blank. I think that is what you want. In English, the keep option is called “On Next Odd Page”
If you are looking to start the first page of the next document in the book, then you can use the Book Page Numbering feature to insert a blank page:

David BlatnerKeymasterI remember this being a problem many years ago, but I thought it was fixed. Is it just buttons? Can you provide a step-by-step we can follow to see if we can reproduce?
David BlatnerKeymasterFrans: Do you want the document to automatically add additional pages for you? You can do that with the Smart Text Reflow feature (in Preferences > Type)
David BlatnerKeymasterThis is an ongoing topic with arguments on all sides. :-)
For example, we had some back and forth in this InDesignSecrets group thread on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/indesignsecrets/permalink/2743409765893502/
I personally love doing my layout in InDesign, then exporting to PDF or PNG; I then open that in Photoshop, tweak it if necessary, and use Save for Web (or Export) to make a good quality web graphic.
You can also use the in5 plug-in from Ajar to make animated HTML web ads (or animated gifs) from InDesign. Pretty amazing.
David BlatnerKeymasterThe most recent version is 15.0.3:
