David BlatnerKeymasterYes, I should always put an * next to comment like that, and then say:

David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t know what an NCS code is, but I would suggest trying to find someone with a colorimeter who can scan the color and provide you with an “Lab” (or LAB) color.
David BlatnerKeymasterI’m not sure why you want to convert these to outlines.
There isn’t anything wrong with using TrueType fonts… at least not usually. Test: if you can export the document as a PDF and it looks right in Acrobat (it almost always does), then I’d say it’s safe to use and print. But no, there’s no way to use find/change to find & convert to outlines.

David BlatnerKeymasterYeah, I know what you mean about uploading images… that would be helpful. I’ll have to see if we can find a way to do that in the future. But I see your img tag working fine in the post above, so I think it did actually work.
In the meantime: I found something interesting… I think this may be happening because you are selecting the first page of the document, and the first page is a section start (the first page is always a section start… you can see that by the triangle on top of the page in the Pages panel).
If you add 1 page at the start of your red document, and then select pages 2-4 and move them… well, when I try that, it doesn’t create a new section, or a new alternate layout.
What’s really weird about what you’ve discovered is that the new alternate layout has the same name as the first one! There’s definitely some bug there.

David BlatnerKeymasterDoes it do this for ANY document you try to move the pages into? Even a brand new doc?
David BlatnerKeymasterThere are several ways to add numbers like this.
You could use paragraph numbering… you can use chapter numbering in the Numbering & Sections dialog box and then use a Chapter Number variable (one of the Type > Text Variables) options…
Some resources:
David BlatnerKeymasterEasiest thing to do is probably export the PDF and then use Acrobat’s Split Pages feature to do it.

David BlatnerKeymasterHm… is it making an alternate layout, or just a new section? I have not seen the Move Pages feature add a new Alternate Layout, but it can make a new section.

David BlatnerKeymasterThank you for coming back here and letting us know of this limitation, Brad! That is very interesting.
Of course, you could just put ALL your files on the desktop, with no structure at all, and that would fix it. ;-)
David BlatnerKeymasterGlad you figured that out, Steve.
David BlatnerKeymasterAre all the pages blue? One possibility is that someone accidentally (?!) changed the definition of the Paper color in the Swatches panel:
