David BlatnerKeymasterHaven’t heard of that script. Have you tried reaching out to the person who wrote it? Where is it from?

David BlatnerKeymasterIt is very difficult to know what the problem could be. Make sure you’re viewing this with Acrobat (not a third-party pdf reader). Check to see if it works in the SWF Preview panel. (It’s not SWF, but that’s a good indicator of if something is broken.) Make sure you have all the little eyeballs turned on and off properly in the Buttons & Forms panel. It’s easy to miss one there.
David BlatnerKeymasterThis is not my specialty, but I thought that InDesign always puts those classes in when you have paragraph and character styles assigned to text. Turning off CSS only stops it from creating a CSS file?
David BlatnerKeymasterThe panels normally do stay open, but if they’re not for you, go to Preferences (it’s in the InDesign menu on the Mac, not the Edit menu), and turn off “Auto Collapse Panels” in the Interface panel.
To make InDesign less “transparent” select View > Application Frame.
David BlatnerKeymasterYeah, but if you’re getting the same error after opening the IDML (and saving it), then there is a very good chance that it is not the file, but rather some plug-in that you currently have running on your system. Perhaps you tried to uninstall some plug-in (like inmath?!) but it wasn’t fully uninstalled, and now one part of the plug-in is looking for the other parts. That’s my guess.
David BlatnerKeymasterYou exported as IDML, closed the original, and then opened the IDML file. Did you get the error when you opened it, or when you tried packaging?
Have you tried packaging other files? Perhaps your Package feature is broken? Have you tried rebuilding your preferences?
David BlatnerKeymasterNever heard of those. What does it mean that you tried IDML?
David BlatnerKeymasterNot sure if its possible to do what you want with the built-in conditional text. Our conditional text expert is Kelly Vaughn, who found this great option:

David BlatnerKeymasterThe two main math plug-in options that I can think of immediately are:
- mteditor from https://movemen.com
- MathMagic from https://www.mathmagic.com/
David BlatnerKeymasterThe key word here is: Preview. Mac OS Preview doesn’t handle interactive PDF very well. Try it in Acrobat.
David BlatnerKeymasterI think you have it right. To the word “color” you apply 3 conditions: Model A and Model B and US. To “colour” you apply Model A, Model B, and UK.
David BlatnerKeymasterI heard from Justin Seeley that Mavericks works with CC as long as you uninstall the Creative Cloud application first, then upgrade to 10.9, then re-install the CC app. Hm. Hope that gets fixed soon.
David BlatnerKeymasterWhat happens? What do you see?
David BlatnerKeymasterShared hyperlinks aren’t the end of the world; they’re annoying for various reasons, especially if you need to edit one repurpose your document later.
David BlatnerKeymasterGreat question! Wow, Anne-Marie posted that years ago…
