David BlatnerKeymasterThe Links panel should say… no? Like this:

or

David BlatnerKeymaster@Chris: That is weird. You might check out this article: https://creativepro.com/where-did-my-indesign-menu-items-go.php
David BlatnerKeymasterPreferences is in the InDesign menu on the Mac, and the Edit menu in Windows. Or press Command/Ctrl+K.
David BlatnerKeymasterHard to know. Perhaps there is a character style applied to the headings in the book, or to the TOC?
David BlatnerKeymasterPrimary text frames work great; even multi-column primary text frames. Not sure what the problem could be for your workflow.
I wonder if the text coming in is getting the Span Columns style applied to it for some reason? In that case, the text would span across multiple columns in the frame.
David BlatnerKeymasterMatjaz, you have to think like a computer to figure out grep. And computers are not very smart. :)
There is no way one GREP could find all of these:
Munich/München
Rome/Roma
Danemark/Denmark/DanskaYou can find all series of words that are separated by a slash. But it would also find “if/then”
David BlatnerKeymasterAbbas: Does World Tools (in-tools.com) help?
David BlatnerKeymasterGenerally, I just use a different master page for chapter title openers, but there are a lot of good ideas here:

David BlatnerKeymasterNope, sorry, the only way you can use them (and print and make pdfs properly, and see proper line-endings and so on) is to own the fonts.
David BlatnerKeymasterKristian, I see your point. I agree that it would be nice to have the same features from Illustrator. You might consider adding this as a wish-list item here:

David BlatnerKeymasterWhen you type 4mm type size in Illustrator, what is it measuring?
You probably know that you can change the rulers (and therefore most of the input fields) to mm by right-clicking the rulers (or, better, the little square where they intersect). However, that won’t change the type and leading inputs, which will stay in points because points have been the standard for typography for a century or more. That said, you could use this script to set the size:

David BlatnerKeymasterMore questions… Does InDesign continue to run even without this plug-in? Is it just when you open a document, or just when you launch InDesign? Mac vs. Windows?
I had a terrible, horrible time with the CC 9.2 update, and InDesign wouldn’t run at all until some very helpful folks at Adobe figured out what was going on. Fortunately, my problem was very rare. I hope you don’t have something similar. But I want to get as many details as possible before suggesting the Adobe folks look at this thread.
