David BlatnerKeymasterSure, but you need to be crystal clear about what the patterns are. Can you describe the pattern? Is it always “R1”? Or is it “R” followed by one digit? Or sometimes two digits? I see a “BO” in one place and a “BOA” in another. GREP is powerful, but only if there is a very clear repeatable pattern of text that you can search for.
David BlatnerKeymasterMaybe Tomaxxi Link Rename, which Cari wrote up here: https://carijansen.com/2011/11/10/indesign-epub-support-tool-renaming-image-links/
David BlatnerKeymasterThere are some Adobe fonts folders. Not sure where to look, especially on windows.
More here:
https://creativepro.com/getting-indesign-to-see-your-fonts.phpand sometimes you can find fonts by using Reveal in Finder/Explorer inside find font:

David BlatnerKeymasterWhen you save the PNG from Photoshop, are you using an sRGB profile with it?
I’m baffled by this, because I cannot get a PNG to look different between Photoshop and InDesign, and it’s the same if I use PNG or PSD. The RGB PNG always looks fine.
So either something is wrong with the PNG, or your color settings, or… not sure!
David BlatnerKeymasterI think that is something that Auto Flow Pro might be able to do: https://in-tools.com/products/plugins/autoflow-pro/
David BlatnerKeymasterMrs B: So you get a very different result if you save the same image as PSD and PNG, when you place it in InDesign?
I am curious why you want to save as PNG if you can just save as PSD?
David BlatnerKeymasterNo, sorry. You would need to reach out to 65bit for more information.
David BlatnerKeymasterIf it is an RGB image, then perhaps you need to set your edit > transparency blend space to RGB? (If you’re using PNG files, I assume this is for onscreen display, not print?)
David BlatnerKeymasterMaybe the font is in the Document Fonts folder?

David BlatnerKeymasterIt’s in the product area called Panel menus. Look under Paragraph:
David BlatnerKeymasterI have also had a lot of problems with controlling SWF animations in InDesign. For example, if I set an animation to play in a loop, then export that as a SWF and bring it in to another InDesign document, then I cannot stop it! I can make a button to start it, but it will not stop.
I think that Adobe is not giving the animation features much love these days because Flash/SWF is basically a dying format.
David BlatnerKeymasterThank you, Miguel! Good luck with this project.
David BlatnerKeymasterHi there; you got it exactly: When your membership expires, your membership “drops” to a free subscriber.
If your membership has recently expired, you can sign up again here: https://creativepro.com/subscribe/annual
If your membership is going to expire within a week or two, you can renew here: https://creativepro.com/subscribe/renew
(However, if your membership is not going to expire for another month or longer, then we ask that you use a different URL: https://creativepro.com/subscribe/extend We’re sorry for the inconvenience of having three different URLs. It’s something we’ve asked our development team to simplify, but there are some technical issues that need to be worked out.)
Thanks for your interest and support of InDesignSecrets and InDesign Magazine!
David BlatnerKeymasterPerhaps one way to do it would be to feed your list of trademarks into Indexmatic and let it index the documents:
https://www.indiscripts.com/category/projects/IndexMatic
Anything that it finds would show up in the index, so you’d know where it is. Would that help? -
