David BlatnerKeymasterWhat happens? Nothing? Troubleshooting interactive problems like that can definitely be tricky. Make sure everything is a button! Check all those little eyeball icons carefully for each and every button.

David BlatnerKeymasterYou can press Command-Option-Shift-L (or ctrl-alt-shift-L) to override all master page objects, but that is only for one spread at a time.
However, remember you do not need to override the master page items to place (using File > Place) into them. You can do that without ctrl-shift-click on them.
David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t know any method that is both cheap and good. I have seen very good results from ID2Office from recosoft.com. But I do not know if they convert notes.
David BlatnerKeymasterThanks for the update, Sarah. Yup, form fields are PDF only.
David BlatnerKeymasterYeah, but even then it would be tricky. X-refs only work with text, not images. So you’d have to have some “invisible” text on each page with a picture, and then cross-ref to that.
David BlatnerKeymasterRadia: Wow that question has nothing to do with this thread, does it?! :-)
However, the quick answer is: It depends on how you make the PDF file. If you choose Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers) then it will usually convert to CMYK. If you choose No Conversion, it will leave them as RGB.
David BlatnerKeymasterDoes it work differently if you hold down on the object for a second or two before moving it?
David BlatnerKeymasterJust to clarify: You want the script to name the file the same thing as the code?
David BlatnerKeymasterYou can find a simple fraction in GREP by searching for \d\d (crazy looking, I know)
David BlatnerKeymasterYou’re saying that this font definitely does not have those fractions? Have you looked through the font carefully in the Glyphs panel? Sometimes fonts have simple fractions like this that you wouldn’t expect.
But yes, you can definitely search for things that look like fractions and replace them with other things with grep.
David BlatnerKeymasterThat’s an aesthetic opinion. :-)
I usually use Optical for headline type, and leave it set to metrics for body type.
David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t think that is possible in InDesign by itself. It may be possible with Power Headers from In-Tools.com
