David BlatnerKeymasterI just used an img src tag to include the image here, for easier viewing.
This is not easy in InDesign because it won’t let you create rounded corners in table cells. Does it have to be a single table? One possibility is to have a table with the numbers in it and a second table (or just group of objects) with those shapes sitting above the table.
Another option might be to use a special font for those columns… a font that would include the rounded rectangle around the numbers. Or using paragraph rules:

David BlatnerKeymasterHey there! It always seems like there should be an easy solution for things like this, but nothing comes to mind. Maybe someone else can think of something. But to get the ball rolling, I want to point out that you can find punctuation after any character with
(\w)(?=[[:punct:]])
You can change the Find Format section in Find/Change to find just those characters in bold or just in italic…
David BlatnerKeymasterTricky. What if another character says:
“You are muy guapo Sancho,” said Lupe, as she put down the gun
That line has “sancho” in it, too…
David BlatnerKeymasterI would draw a line and then anchor it as the first character in the text frame. (Actually, it doesn’t matter where in the frame it is anchored.) Then use the Anchored Text Options dialog box to position it where you want it. See this post:

David BlatnerKeymasterPossible that some of your “buttons” are actually just hyperlinks?
Note that buttons only work when you export to “PDF (Interactive)” (but hyperlinks can work with ‘pdf (print)’ )March 21, 2015 at 5:54 am in reply to: Help! Numbering starts in reverse, from right to left instead of the opposite #74088
David BlatnerKeymasterCharles, I think that’s how InDesign always works with facing pages. As Colleen said, the first page is always a right-hand page and it is page 1. The second page is a left-hand page.
If you need the first two pages to be left-and-right, then check out:

and
https://creativepro.com/watch_listen/indesignsecrets-videocast-11-make-page-1-a-left-hand-pageOr are we missing something?
You can’t upload images here, but you can put them on some other ‘image sharing’ site and then just add a link here.
David BlatnerKeymasterWhere are you viewing the PDF? Acrobat on the desktop? (Buttons don’t work on the iPad typically.) Is it possible that there is any other interactive object sitting on top of the buttons? (So that you’re clicking, but it’s registering on the wrong object.)
David BlatnerKeymasterYou can use the Rule Above and Rule Below features and set them up differently.
David BlatnerKeymasterHi Jedidiah, sorry about the long delay on your forum post. I don’t know why but our system seemed to think you were a spammer and held your question for review. Weird!
Unfortunately, there is no “swap pages” feature. You would just have to move one page, and then the other page.
David BlatnerKeymasterNo, sorry. Export as PDF and then print?
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, I believe this script can do that… at least for PDF:

David BlatnerKeymasterfreeassociates and Evelyn Shapiro:
No, there has been no change. However, Distiller IS still part of Acrobat. It’s pretty easy to print to a PostScript file and then just convert that to a PDF in Acrobat Pro (just select File > Create > PDF from File. -
