David BlatnerKeymasterActually, you can run the older version of InDesign on Retina computers; it just doesn’t look as good.
David BlatnerKeymasterBut why do you need your booklet with crops as a PDF? Why a PDF? Most people do not need this.
As I said in this article, you should NOT need a PDF with printer imposition: https://creativepro.com/creating-pdf-indesigns-print-booklet-feature.phpThere is more information here:
any way to combine "print booklet" and "export to PDF" functions??
But if you need to distill postscript to PDF and you do not have Acrobat, there are two options:
1. You can get Acrobat for not very much money. It costs only $25 to subscribe to Acrobat Pro DC for one month: https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/pricing/pricing.html
(or only $15/month if you subscribe for one year)2. You could use a third-party service, such as https://www.ps2pdf.com
David BlatnerKeymasterOK, why don’t you try by posting all 10 questions in one forum thread. If you get satisfactory answers after a week, then you can do another 10. :-)
David BlatnerKeymasterHI Paula, why do you need to make the booklet a PDF? Why not use File > Print Booklet and print from InDesign?
David BlatnerKeymasterPan, I appreciate that you want to help your readers. I think that’s really great. But if we came to your site and said “please answer 54 questions about Photoshop” you might start to get tired. :-)
When someone asks me a question about QuarkXPress, I suggest they go to planetQuark.com; if they ask a Photoshop question, I generally point them to one of several Photoshop sites.
David BlatnerKeymasterPan, no, please do not post 54 questions from your site to here for answers. Instead, can you ask your users to come here to post them themselves?
David BlatnerKeymasterI wonder if it accidentally has a stroke around it? LIke this: https://creativepro.com/fake-a-missing-type-style.php
David BlatnerKeymasterWhere do they appear bold? On screen? In print?
David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t know, but I would definitely rebuild your preferences and see it that helps.

David BlatnerKeymasterYou can see the frame edges, but when you select a frame you cannot see the anchor box on any side? (One time I could not see the anchor box until I realized the frame was rotated 90° and it was on the side instead of the top!)

David BlatnerKeymasterThat’s an awesome script, Jongware.
But for most people who want to make calendars, I like Colleen’s suggestion, which we explore in details here:
https://creativepro.com/calendar-template-time.php
and

David BlatnerKeymasterYes, this is a known screen display problem and happens to me frequently. Very annoying. I find that I can force it to appear again by either switching to a different spread and back again or — here’s my favorite method — press Command-Option-/ (slash) (or ctrl-alt-slash on windows, of course)
https://creativepro.com/force-text-reflow-when-indesign-forgets-to-flow-the-text.php
David BlatnerKeymasterIt can be completely finished in ID, but only so far. Tab order is possible, for example, in Object > Interactive > Set Tab Order
However, the text field font isn’t as easy and currently requires a pair of third-party commercial scripts:
(Tell ’em InDesignSecrets sent you.) :-)
David BlatnerKeymaster
David BlatnerKeymasterYou can use Word, InCopy, or RTF to sync text:

I wrote about layout zone a while back, too:
