David BlatnerKeymasterYes, I think that is normal. That is controlled by iBooks, not InDesign. I am not sure if there is any way to change that.
David BlatnerKeymasterHere’s one option: https://creativepro.com/multilevel-numbering-like-2-0-1.php
David BlatnerKeymasterAlso, on the sample question you mentioned: I don’t see how C or D could be correct; and if B were correct, you couldn’t choose that feature.
David BlatnerKeymasterSpencer: There were a lot of new features in CS6, and a few in CC. You should probably familiarize yourself with CC in order to be an ACE in it, I would think. But my guess is that you might be able to pass with just CS 5.5 knowledge; hard to say.
David BlatnerKeymasterI would say you need to use the “Keep with Previous” option for all the paragraphs except the heading.
David BlatnerKeymasterThis is a good use for the Keep Options settings in the paragraph styles definition.
David BlatnerKeymasterSherryl: It’s so hard to know. Have you tried exporting the file as IDML and then opening the IDML file (that gets rid of oddness/corruption). Have you checked to ensure they’re not set to Non-printing in the Attributes panel? Will they export to other formats, such as JPEG or will they print?
David BlatnerKeymasterTry Save As with a new name. But if that doesn’t work (it probably won’t) then export as IDML and open that iDML file. That rebuilds the file and usually (not always) removes corruption.
David BlatnerKeymasterWeird! Even in new documents? Or just certain documents? I assume you’re inserting with type > insert footnote?

David BlatnerKeymasterI’ve never heard of an applescript filling in a field in a javascript. Not sure if that is possible.
David BlatnerKeymasterOleh, you are certainly correct. The only difference is that those plug-ins and scripts are from a web site, where there is technical support if something goes wrong. It is a small difference, but that matters to some people.
But I appreciate you are helping the InDesign community with these scripts, so thank you!
David BlatnerKeymasterMasood, you are right!
However, technically you still have many frames. You are just grouping them and putting them into one frame. But yes, at the end, you have just one “frame” (one object).
David BlatnerKeymasterYou might consider merging the images in Photoshop or something else, to make a single image. Then import that.
