Great script, Jongware!
Ah! Rayzel, I did not think to limit the scope based on the paragraph style. Yes, of course that is a great solution…
Slightly easier is to search for .$ which just means ‘the last character in the paragraph.’ Then you can replace with $0., as you suggested.
Nope. They’ve been talking about it for the past year or so. But they recently said it took 6 years to get their pixel-editing tool finished, so while I’m very curious about Publisher, I’m not holding my breath.
I can’t think of any way to search for “only text that is in a footnote.”
Let me know if this helps: https://creativepro.com/topic/targeting-nested-para-styles-in-findchangebylist-script
Not sure… did you reach out to In-Tools about it?
This is one of the most frustrating things about Acrobat to me. There is no good way to change that for other people, though you can change it for yourself:

Yup, it’s more like master pages. TOC styles are saved in the document. But, like color swatches or paragraph styles, you can load them from another document by choosing Layout > TOC Styles and then clicking Load. (Then choose that other document.)
What happens when you try to play the video? Have you turned on Play on Page Load in the Media panel? Are you clicking on the video in the PDF? Can you get the video to work with a normal interactive PDF (in a new test file, just by itself)?
It’s tricky to make a number in a square like that based on all text styles. It’s possible, but takes some work. It is easier to make it as a separate box. But if you want it to flow with the text, then you should anchor it or make it an inline object.
