David BlatnerKeymasterWhat you’re describing sounds cool, but may be harder than expected. That said, this article/video should help get you started with linking excel files:

David BlatnerKeymasterWhat a great question! I love these kinds of puzzles. But after thinking about it for a while, I cannot think of any way to automate this and keep the “continued from page” jump line in the proper place (that is, to make it move along with the first line).
Yes, you can make the text flow properly by stacking the text frames and using text wrap, but that darn “continued from” line is tricky. I think that might have to be moved manually.
I’d love to hear if someone else comes up with a good solution, though!
David BlatnerKeymasterThere are reasons for creating each spread or page in a different document, but the best reason is if you have many different people working on the magazine, and each person is assigned to one page or spread. But if one person is working on 1 article, then that whole article should be in a single document.
The answer to the corruption problem is not having separate pages. The answer is having good backups (with multiple versions). Use Save As or Save a Copy!
David BlatnerKeymasterHere’s another way to tackle this: https://colecandoo.com/2012/02/18/square-pegs-now-fit-into-round-holes/
David BlatnerKeymasterThe dot means “any character”
Maybe try\w{2,8}
(word boundary, word character between 2 and 8 letters, then word boundary)
David BlatnerKeymasterAwesome! Thank you, Lulu.
David BlatnerKeymasterSometimes scripts have trouble running on other language versions because the script is “expecting” a certain name for a panel or color or other element, and it does not exist in the different language.
David BlatnerKeymasterOr, another option is to consider using a third-party plug-in. If you’re creating catalogs with many tables, you might want to look at something like EasyCatalog (65bit.com) or DesignMerge (meadowsps.com) or something like that.
David BlatnerKeymasterEvery object in InDesign can have a fill and a stroke color. You can control these separately by choosing colors in the Control panel (across the top of the screen). Or, in the Swatches or Colors panel, you need to select Fill or Stroke before applying a color (those are two icons that are overlapping in the upper-left corner).
David BlatnerKeymasterLOL.
I think the original may have been spam in Korean or another Asian language, but our forum couldn’t handle it.
David BlatnerKeymasterWow, that’s a weird one!. Sorry about that. I have blocked them.
David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t think there is a specific feature you could use for that. A custom script might be able to manage it.
That said, here is one way to add “variable” width spaces between columns:
https://creativepro.com/using-flush-space-to-add-equal-space-between-text.phpIn general, tables are the way to go.
