David BlatnerKeymasterSure, you could do that with Find/Change. But it would be better to do it with a paragraph style! :-)
David BlatnerKeymasterJongware’s article here might help: https://creativepro.com/javascript-for-the-absolute-beginner.php
David BlatnerKeymasterThanks for letting us know, Melinda!
David BlatnerKeymasterI’m sorry, I was just trying to be helpful. Yes, I mean adding html tags.
For example if you use the pre tags you can do indents and it comes out looking more like code. :-)
David BlatnerKeymasterYou may need to put your code inside pre or code tags here on the forum.
David BlatnerKeymasterOh yes, given what you’re saying I think it’s very likely that this is an OS issue (or WordPress issue), not InDesign.

However, just to tease: Mike Rankin and I will be presenting a session at pepcon this June on the topic of Moving Content from InDesign to WordPress.
One of the main things we’ll be showing is how to export HTML directly from InDesign, clean it up with a script, and then just paste the raw HTML into WordPress.
David BlatnerKeymasterMany of the files are stored in the same place as the preferences files: https://creativepro.com/rebuilding-indesign-preferences.php

David BlatnerKeymasterAnother thought: What happens if they copy from Word and paste into WordPress? (I believe WordPress has special filters that can convert Word formatting to HTML on the fly.)
David BlatnerKeymasterI wish InDesign had a “Save for Web” feature such as Illustrator or Photoshop, but until then you’ll probably get better results creating web graphics in one of those programs.
Or, you might export as a PNG or PDF, then open in Photoshop and export to web (such as JPG or a more compressed PNG)
David BlatnerKeymasterI don’t know of any way to “push” InDesign edits back to an existing Word or Google doc other than the tools from Em Software.
David BlatnerKeymasterNope, that’s image editing, so it requires Photoshop.
However, if the background is super light, you might get away with setting the blending mode to Multiply in the Effects panel. -
