David BlatnerKeymasterOne option might be to click the + icon in the upper-right corner of the Paragraph Styles panel (in InDesign CC 2018 and later). That would highlight all local formatting. Would that help?

David BlatnerKeymasterAre you saying that there are font and size changes inside the words? For example, “cat” (where the “a” is bold)? And you want to find words that are inconsistent like this?
A script could probably do it. GREP is hard, yes. But actually another solution could be to export the text from InDesign as “Tagged Text” and then use GREP inside a app such as TextWrangler or BBEdit, which supports grep. Tricky, but possible.
David BlatnerKeymasterNice! Thanks for sharing. Yes, InDesign does NOT make it easy to know what profile is attached to an INDD document! Frustrating.

David BlatnerKeymasterObject styles can do that! If you have applied an object style to the text frames, you can edit it.
David BlatnerKeymasterWhat is Transparency Blend Space set to in the Edit menu?
David BlatnerKeymasterHave you tried opening the Photoshop file, and using Save As? I wonder if there is some metadata in the file that is wrong and Save As might fix it.
David BlatnerKeymasterFor everyone who needs this, I wrote it up (including the script) in this article here:

David BlatnerKeymasterMany differences… Interactive is always sRGB… Interactive does not have any Adobe Presets… not suitable for print. Interactive exports movies and buttons and some other interactive features (print only supports bookmarks and hyperlinks).
David BlatnerKeymasterWhy do you think they are CMYK?
Personally, I think you should keep them as RGB.
David BlatnerKeymasterHi Tom,
I don’t see that happen when I change the size of the table by shift-dragging the lower-right corner of the table itself. It doesn’t change the font sizes at all for me. I wonder if perhaps you Command-Shift-dragged the text frame itself? That would scale the contents of the frame. As for getting rid of all the local formatting, you can select all the cells of the table (place text cursor inside frame and then press Command-Option-A or Ctrl-Alt-A) and then click the Remove Local Overrides button at the bottom of the Paragraph Styles panel. That should do it all in one go.

David BlatnerKeymasterHi Stefan, that sounds very frustrating! Unfortunately, I do not have any good way to check that. You might want to check on the Adobe Acrobat forums: https://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/content
David BlatnerKeymasterYeah, InDesign only saves prefs when you quit. My suggestion is to set up your prefs and then quit InDesign and then relaunch it.
Then, if you want to back up the prefs, you can find where they are here:

David BlatnerKeymasterWell, remember that Acrobat usually requires Flash to play video and audio. Is it possible that Flash needs to be updated?
David BlatnerKeymaster@Civi: That’s the goal of using Primary Text Frames on master pages.
