Have you looked into using Keep Options in your Paragraph Styles? (You can start text in next frame, etc.)

“If someone say they print business cards from 300dpi files find a new printer.”
These statements have no basis in reality. We don’t deal in how things should be; we deal with how they are.

MemberJamie123, as much as we love vector, it ends up as a raster image on paper. I don’t rasterize vector unless it’s needed and to be safe, I do it at 600 ppi.
It sounds like the people you’ve talked to are trying to avoid font issues. (designers are notorious for sending over jobs without fonts.)
Ultimately with printing, ask your printer what the ppi of images should be @ 100%.
There’s more about resolution and offset/digital printing to understand, such as PPI vs DPI vs LPI (line screen).
Sorry, Graham, I disagree with you about 300 dpi – for regular, everyday printing, that is standard. Newspapers and magazines are regularly printed at 225 dpi.

MemberI don’t use Margins that much, but my experience is that you have to select all the pages, then use Layout->Margins and Columns. Changing the Master doesn’t seem to always work. Not sure why, maybe there’s an override?

MemberTo select the whole table, click in any cell and Command-Option-A. (Graham, hovering over the top LEFT hand corner worked for me.)
Using the Table Grid (proxy preview in Control Bar): Triple-Click to toggle between Selecting All or No strokes. I usually start with No strokes, 0 pt, Cell Styles->None, then start formatting.
Then a combination of Table and Cell Styles to get this:
https://i.imgur.com/zsUw8bk.pngThis sort of a manual way to do it, which is ok for a small job, but it sounds like you might need something more automated. I’m still to trying to understand tables better, myself.

MemberIf you use File->Package, that will create a Source folder with a copy of your .indd file, Document font folder and Links folder.
InDesign will look for fonts in that folder named (exactly) Document fonts. Often, closing and re-opening an .indd file will activate the fonts, but the key is it all being in one Source folder.

MemberIf you’re using Facing Pages, you can export a PDF with no bleed on the inside. Impose in InDesign*, export as PDF with Crops.
You just have to do it one time, then re-link your PDF when you have changes.
* https://i.imgur.com/Cu6L5CO.jpgThis is assuming you are printing just one booklet per sheet.
There’s also imposition software out there if you do this a lot. https://creativepro.com/?s=impose
Honestly, I never use the Print Booklet feature in InDesign – too problematic!

MemberIf you want the line to be behind the text, use Underline. Strikethrough is for lines that are in front of the text.
Colleen Shannon
MemberUse 20% black (CMYK) instead of RGB, and the create the same effect using Underline. Make sure you have cleared any Strikethrough definitions in your Character Style. Is this the effect you were trying to get? https://www.dropbox.com/s/yc0bitr76b6qd2q/overprint%20strikethrough.png?dl=0
