ParticipantI've not heard of anything like that either, but the first thing I'd try doing is resetting your preferences. If you're not familiar with the procedure, there's an excellent guide here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990

ParticipantPlease reconsider your workflow.
Try sending PDFs instead. But if you have to do this, select the text with the type tool and then convert it.

ParticipantI swapped the paste and paste in place KBSCs. I see no need to paste anything in the middle of the page. I also added KBSCs for all of the change case commands. I used ctrl/cmd+U for upper case, ctrl/cmd+S for sentence case and so on.
To do that I took advantage of the fact that you can specify that the KBSC only work when editing text, so ctrl/cmd+S still saves my file if I'm not in text editing mode.

ParticipantThey might be violating the license if they did that. I know Markzware's conversion tools prohibit using them to convert files on a service bureau basis. Why not contact Recosoft and see if they'll convert one file for you as a test.
Otherwise you can save the PDF as Word and then an place that into ID….you'll have lots to clean up.

ParticipantSeconded. That screen looks very familiar and I worked with a client that was used PageControl over the summer.

ParticipantUse anything you want for the bullet, just make sure it's about the same size as the graphic you want to use.
Once everything's done, save a copy of the file (just in case) and convert all the bullets to text.
Place the graphic and get it to the exact size you want. Copy it to the clipboad.
Use find change to find the bullet character and replace it with the clipboard contents. You'll find that choice by opening the flyout menu for the change and choosing other.
