ParticipantHave you tried adjusting the top and bottom margin settings in the CSS?

ParticipantI don't think this is a so much a crossplatform issue as it is the ability of a Windows application to open a file directly from a zip archive. If I'm correct, your client double clicked the zip file and then double clicked the InDesign file. This the absolutely the incorrect way to do this.
Tell the client to extract all files before trying to open any of them.

ParticipantFirst of all, anyone with “inside information” would be violating an NDA by posting it publicly. Secondly, perhaps you'd get a bit more in the wasy of help if you actually explained what bug you were referring to.

ParticipantEugene, my only point is that Adobe isn't going to do it, and from I what I read from third parties, it's just not as simple as some folks are making it out to be. Hopefully, the IDML format turns out to be more flexible than the INX format going forward. Only time will tell.

ParticipantYou'd need to do this as a multi state object. The default state should be an empty frame and the second state would be your large image. Now comes the real trick. The large image should have a close button added to the graphic in Photoshop.
Finally. create an empty frame and convert it to a button. Place that above the close area of the large image and set that to go back to your original state.

Participant@Eugene, this question has been asked before…how much would you be willing to pay for such a feature? What would your expectations be for this feature?
Bob Levine
ParticipantRoland, send it to me and I'll get it back to INX for you.

ParticipantBTW, if you opt/alt + click the one layer you want visible, you'll hide the others.

ParticipantYes, you'll need to place it 20 times with different choices.

ParticipantWould you be creating new pages? If so, you either use auto page numbers or a numbered list paragraph style.

ParticipantWhat version of InDesign?

ParticipantJust to avoid confusion…I know David meant transparency is not flattened in ACROBAT 5.
Now, a few points…X/1-a is used in pretty old workflows. A modern printer should have no problem with transparency.
Instead of exporting the pages one at a time, export the entire file and then use the extract pages command in Acrobat to chop them up. But that brings us back to this printer. A modern printer should have no problem taking a multi-page PDF with live transparency in it. Why not have a chat with your printer and find out just exactly why he' requiring you do this.
