Thanks for the reply. I know how to assign a type to a frame. I have several empty graphic frames. They all show no X in them. Is it some display setting I do not know about?
Yes! This solved it. Thanks!
Do you also have a solution for the issue that Indesign is not using the whole screen when the program opens? Just like a browser or Word does when I start it. I always have to do that manually.
Anyone?
I also have this issue occasionally. It always has to do with a wrong keyboard layout settings and this is caused by an accidentally used key combination.
ctrl+shift is changing the keyboard language settings. When you have this issue, try ctrl+shift once and notice the keyboard icon in the system tray. Then your keyboard shortcuts will work again.
I found this article before… it doesn’t help me further. It says: ‘You need to select at least two consecutive paragraphs before InDesign will show you the command in the Paragraph Styles palette.’
How do I select consecutive paragraphs when I only need to select the title to apply the title style? Right clicking the title style doesn’t reveal the ‘Apply style… and then next’ option.
Can you explain in more detail. I tried it and I can see the diagonal line, but the corner isn’t cut off…
