Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberYes, those are the fonts that I used.

Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberThanks, Geri! I’m still not understanding why it’d be difficult to align text across columns or a spread using Lock to Baseline Grid.
What am I missing?

Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberI’m not sure what you mean, Vatrice. I know it’s been a while since you posted, but if you’re still looking for help, could you explain a bit more? Why do you need to map styles, why not just do a Save As and create your second and third files so that the styles come along? Or create your new files and choose Load All Styles from the Paragraph Styles panel menu to import them?

Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberShy what a wonderful testimonial! Thank you!

Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberMike, I’m sorry, I don’t know of such a script. I wonder if you accidentally changed the height of the document (File > Document Setup)? I would check that just to make sure. Or even the individual document pages… it is possible you had them all selected, had the Page tool active, and changed the height there.
I don’t know any other way to get *everything* shifted up across hundreds of pages.
When I look for a script i ask on the Adobe Scripting Forum:
https://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign/indesign_scriptingEither they know of a script, or they might write one on the spot for you.
Thanks

Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberHrm. Couldn’t you make two text threads, one just on the left master, and one on the right master, and then flow the text files in (language one on left side and language 2 on right). Then you could use lock to baseline grid for both of them to make them align across the spread.

Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberHi Amanda, yes Adobe has been mucking around with CC Files since about April of this year. And yes, it looks like there is no Zoom function, though I don’t remember if there ever was. I may have been using my browser’s zoom function (Command-+) in the video, I don’t recall. I saw a tech support person from Adobe suggest users just download the file … not much help.
They also removed the Versions feature. They’ve said we’ll be getting a much-improved CC Files and Libraries, but haven’t seen anything yet.
I’ve not had the problem with fonts. Here’s a file I’m sharing, can you see the fonts okay?

Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberHow wonderful! Thank you Peter. (He has helped me out many times as well, just yesterday in fact.)
You can learn more about Peter on his personal site, and download all of his wonderful InDesign scripts (please pay attention to the little Donate button at the bottom of many of these pages). https://www.kahrel.plus.com/
And thank you Shawn for posting the follow-up! I’m curious, how did a small square end up in the topic names, do you know?

Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberDwayne I just flagged it as spam. They are so obnoxious.
Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberWell, you could do so manually. Choose one of the files to be the master “receiving” or target document, and open it. Then open the other files one at a time. For each, open the Pages panel, select all the pages, and choose Move Pages from the Pages panel menu. Select the name of the target document in the Move To dialog box.
AM
Anne-Marie ConcepcionMemberHeh. Oh these clients. How do you handle that?
