MemberI have a mac and as far as i am aware i am up to date with ID CS6 via the Creative Cloud

MemberThanks for your help Guz. I must be a real dumbass! I am trying that but the text isn’t changing. I tried the instructions in the link as well but no use.

MemberThank you, i tried that but i am running CS6, it seems like this is for ID CC.

MemberBasically, can you use ID like fontexplorer?

MemberPerfect! Thank you so much David and Jongware! The Discretionary Ligatures feature was what i was looking for! And this is a very insightful discussion. Incidentally the font i was using FF Tisa Pro the ligature for Th seems to be classified as a discretionary ligature and isn’t automatically replaced when you have ‘ligatures enable.
Thanks again, i love this place! No secrets here ;-)

MemberThe Creative Cloud App mysteriously disappeared and i have had to re-install it, so i was down those fonts for a while there.

MemberI see, thank you David. I am new to Typekit. I do not intend to package them or copy them, i just don’t want to be without them for whatever sync related reason which i have been seeing can happen.

MemberOk cool! Thank you Gert, that is very helpful.

MemberThank you for your post jongware! I am having excellent success with indyfont, it’s brilliant! Your colleague Marc has been assisting me on Twitter. Although getting the dots right on the italics are quite challenging.
So, thank you for your advice. I have just gotten to the point you described in terms of using the metrics function, so your last paragraph is where I’m at and has really helped fill in a lot of gaps, much appreciated.
So if I managed to get an Afm file for Adobe garamond premier pro how would I read it?
