UpperCut Images, an exclusive rights-protected stock photography agency owned by royalty-free stock photo agency PunchStock, proudly announces the addition of photographer Dave Nagel to its roster of distinguished top photographers contributing to the UpperCut Images collection of high-end rights-protected imagery.
Nagel, a Southern California-based photographer, has been shooting professionally for 20 years. His client list is a who’s who of household names like Intel, Jeep, Microsoft and Best Buy as well as Nikon and Polaroid. His recent work includes a current Subway sandwiches campaign.
While all of Nagel’s work is marked with the vibrant, youthful energy for which he’s known, nowhere is this intensity more apparent than in his sports imagery, particularly winter sports. Once a ski instructor, Nagel traded in his ski poles for a BFA in photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 1983. Throughout his fruitful career, he’s stayed connected to the sporting world, shooting for top ski magazines like Skiing Magazine and Ski Magazine, as well as ski resorts. His work has also appeared on the cover of Runners World. And his street-smart, tuned-in-turned-up urban style has attracted brands like K-Swiss, Adidas, Spyder, Fila and Skechers and several video game companies.
“I think the time is right for a new boutique agency, since most of the stock houses have been scooped up by a couple of big players,” said Nagel of his decision to collaborate with UpperCut Images. “Having a handful of strong shooters makes it a less time-consuming process for art directors to find great stuff.”
