Hi All, I’m a scripting novice, and guessed that my query might be solved by scripting (if it can be solved at all). I’ve got a print document setup in InDesign and set up an XML export (which works fine). As part of the XML export I intend to export images as part of the XML export process, as both original and as Optimised Formatted images.
My question is about the Optimised Formatted images, because when they export, they export at a very small size which is somehow linked to the size that they are in the InDesign file. Is there any way to scale them up, either by a factor of say 500%, or keep them at size but increase the export resolution? I can’t make sense of the sizing conversion – the original vector image in the InDesign file is 84.65mm x 67.35mm (WxH) and the same image dimensions when exported as a formatted image are 240x191px (WxH) at 72ppi.
The only workaround that I can think of is to manually make a copy of the ID file purely for export, make the pages huge, and size the images proportionally so that they’re huge, and then export them, which would force the Optimised Formatted images larger as a result. Which gives the outcome I’m looking for. The slight snag is that there are 100+ images.
Is there is any way to override the export settings?
