      Hi All

We've begun the transition to CS4 at my company, with some computers now having CS3 and CS4 installed, and some with just CS3. To keep compatible, a lot of projects have to stay in CS3 format, even on the computers with CS4. Windows seems to know which type is which, because it shows a CS3 icon for a CS3 document, and CS4 for CS4. Annoyingly though, double-clicking a CS3 document will open in CS4.

Ideally, I'd like to double-click CS3 files and have them open in CS3, and have CS4 files open in CS4. Does anyone know of any way to achieve this?

      Many thanks

      Nick

Soxy is just what you need… see rorohiko.com. Or, see the discount code in the podcast notes:

The one thing where Windows appears to have an advantage, and it does it wrong!

Working on Windows, I use “Open with” — fortunately, ID CS3 is listed there… I showed Soxy to my Mac colleagues a while ago and haven't heard them complain on this issue afterwards, so it seems to work perfectly. Where is the Windows version :(
