      OK,

We have a brand new Dell Precision Desktop with a 64 Bit OS running Windows 7. I installed Adobe Creative Suite 3 and ran into the following issues (below) that caused me to upgrade to Adobe Creative Suite 4. We are having the same issues with InDesign 4 that we were in InDesign 3.

      1. You cannot click on any part of the text wrap box.

      2. You cannot change the font size or type (unless you click in a blank space to the right of the little arrow. This was found by accident.

3.Many other buttons, like the pointer button, cannot be clicked on most of the time.

4.The stroke function has the same issues (you cannot click on any funtion in the box)

We were assured that by upgrading to CS 4 from CS 3 that the program would work. The same problems are occurring. However, the old 32 bit Dell still runs CS3 perfectly but slow.

      Any suggestions?

No real problems for me after working for two weeks on Win 7 with CS4. The things you mention may relate to an outdated display driver … (This has been identified as causing ID problems before.)

I installed the latest video driver and the font problem went away. We still have the problem of not being able to use the stroke function as well as the text wrap funtion. We can open the function box for each of them but cannot click or select anything in the box. Any ideas?

      see this thread:

      https://forums.adobe.com/messag…..90#1322490

or if you don't want to read the whole thread, give this a bash

      1) From Windows Control Panel, select Personlization. (You also can right-click the desktop to access this.)

      2) From the left menu, select Adjust Font Size (DPI).

      3) Select Default scale (96 DPI).

      4) Ok to close the dialogue box.

      5) Reboot the computer with the new setting.

one of my clients experienced the same thing. thought the worst until i saw this thread and it fixed it up right away.

      Wow,

this fixed it. Thank you very much. The user complained that her fonts are now small and hard to see but I am ecstatic because it works. I told her to use the magnifier tool :) We upgraded to CS4 for really no reason as a result, since the same bug could of been fixed with our CS3 (but that is fine).

Other people must be having this issue. I cannot believe how long it took for me to find an answer to this. It is a really simple fix too.
