      Hi,

I´m a new Indesign user. I´ve an issue related to inserting 2 o more text files into indesing via File>Place.

I´m supposed to see the number of text files loaded next to the icon before clicking to the final destination. What I see is the icon with the mini text next to it but not the (#) number of files loaded. Insted in that place there´s a blank.

What is more surprising is that I installed Techsmith Snag it to capture the cursor so I could upload a visual representation of my problem. My surprise was that Snag it has captured the image with the the parentheses showing my current number of files loaded. In that case was 2. ???? What´s going on?

      I´m using Indesign CS3 on Windows 7 32b.

Here https://img200.imageshack.us/im…..ngtext.jpg the capture of Snagit showing (2) text files loaded. When switching back to Indesign there is no parentheses at all. Bizarre.

Any help? Is there a hidden setup to turn this on and off?

      Thanks a lot

No Hidden setup, probably a glitch. Try rebuilding your preferences – https://creativepro.com/reb…..rences.php

Hi Eugene, thanks for your advice.

Unfortunatelly after rebuilding my Indesign Preferences following your guidelines the problem is still there.

When inserting several pictures I see the number of pics loaded though. The problem seems to happen only with text files.

      Such a bizarre thing.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?

      Thanks anyway Eugene.
