When the Editor opens .icma file, it is an old version of the story. The editor is on a PC and only has InCopy loaded. She can open the current version of the InCopy file by opening the .indd document.
Another Mac user was able to open the assignment file, until the Editor opened it. After that the Mac user’s InCopy bombed.
I’ve made a new .icma file and deleted the old .icma via the assignments panel. The old .icma is no longer in the assignments panel, but it is still in the shared folder. I am unable to delete it from the shared folder manually – it says it is in use.
The Tech department gave us all full permissions to the shared folder today.
