      Hello,

I was wandering what is the best way to insert an image and have it wrapped by text considering that the aim is to export in EPUB.
      Cheers

Ps. I tried Castro's way, but somehow I get inconsistent results

Honestly, the best way is to learn how to edit the CSS and HTML. Create a class for the image and apply a float to it. Be aware that sometimes the img tag can wind up within another tag such as the p tag.

BTW, if you're not already using CS5.5 you should be if you're doing Epub work. It's dramatically better than any earlier version of InDesign.

I agree with Bob. But you can anchor the image in the text story in InDesign, then set the Text Wrap to wrap around object, and (in CS5.5 at least), the float code is generated for you, and the text should wrap around the image in the epub. If you want a caption under the image, I suggest grouping the caption and the image, then anchoring the group in the flow (or adding it to the articles panel, if it's between stories).

      Thanks to you both!!!

I'll definitely follow your suggestions, both by improving my CSS HTML knowledge and by wrapping the text around the image.

I just realised that the consistency problems were primarily related to the fact that the image tag went within other tags.

      Cheers

      Hey guys,

Same problem here. I'm trying to export from CS5.5 to ePub. I've got a couple of images Text Wrapped using “detect edges”. Everything looks great in ID, but when I export the wrapp doesn't seem to transfer. Spent the better part of a day on this so any help is much appreciated.

You can do this easily in Indesign without code:
