I have a workbook done in indesign that has spaces for students to write answers and responses.
This is fine in hardcopy, but how can it be done as an electronic publication, maintaining the layout so that students can type in the bubbles, tables, etc. and save their work?
Some students will be using ipads, while others will be on PC’s.
Any direction to a more suitable forum for this question would also be appreciated if appropriate. many thanks

The easiest way would be to place form fields using Acrobat. So you can keep your layout and still have the opportunities for the students to enter text. IMPORTANT: You have to enable the Acrobat Reader functionality. I’m not quite sure how it is called in the English version (in the top menu it’s in the command between ‘Tools’ and ‘Window’).
But you will definitively become a problem with the iPad. Every PDF reading App (I know so far) can’t deal with form fields – and then you have the problem with saving this file. I’m afraid there’s no solution (yet). If you find one – I’m very interested to know about.

Many thanks Jeldrick. I can't see a way with the ipads at the moment.
