what is the best file type for graphics in InDesign file?

      I have tested that and made an InDesign file, and place the same graphic as ai, or png, and sometimes as cc library, then export it to pdf with the same settings, the results are pdf files with different sizes!

      (pdf with png =370 kb, df with cc library= 62 kb, pdf with just copy the graphic from Ai and paste it in InDesign= 26 Kb )

      , so I’m wondering what are the best type of image and graphics that will be placed in InDesign and give me a small pdf file

      PNG and AI are very different, so yes, of course they will create a different file size. I wrote up some suggestions here:
