weird red vertical lines in static caption??

      I'm trying to create a static caption for some images and I'm not getting the result that I want, even though it's been set up. When I get the caption, it's got some weird spacing issues between the text and when I show my hidden characters, they are red vertical lines in between my text. I have a screen shot, but can't seem to upload to show it. Any ideas on what might be happening?

      Are you sure it's a static caption, not a live caption? Live captions have to fit onto a single line, so letterspacing gets squished when the column is too narrow.

      Yes, we don't allow uploading of images here, but you can put it on imageshack.us or something like that and then link to it here.
