weird page numbers- éÁL^52 change them back?

      Ive recently joined a new company and been passed down the indesign files. Most of the have few errors but this baffeled me abit, and I wondered if any knew how to get the page numbers back to normal, currently they look like this…. éÁL^52

      The numbers are there but after these characters, should I not worry and just carry on or does this mean they are edited in some way?

      turns out it was a prefix to the numbers …why I don't know.

      if anyone has a similar issue right click the nubers whilst holding ctrl and edit page numbering and prefix.
