Weird hyperlinks when exported to PDF

IDCS5 – I put buttons on the master page of a newsletter which is going to be PDFed and emailed to readers, simple Next Page and Previous Page buttons. When I export to interactive PDF (I much preferred the old system in CS4 because it was so simple and worked), the buttons (a) only appear on the right hand page and (b) are right in the middle of the page instead of down at the bottom where I put them in ID. How can I get them to appear in the right place?

The second problem is with hyperlinks. I want to create 3 hyperlinks (2 to URLs and one to an email). In the Hyperlink panel there are links numbered 9-17 — all sorts of rubbish it must have picked up from the imported Word docs I suppose. New Hyperlink is greyed out. I've tried Editing one but it doesn't seem to stick and in any case I can't find Email — like I did in another document a few months ago when I could select New Hyperlink.

Is this Hyperlinks stuff in IDCS5 broken or something? I don't understand why I can't select New Hyperlink from the Hyperlinks panel.

      Anyway, thanks again for listening.
